Gifts for Valentines Day? What is that? I used to get the wife cards and jewelry, stuff like that, but not anymore as neither of us use jewelry that much. We each have $5000 Rolex watches, and a couple other $300 ones (I wear a $20 Walmart special with Velcro strap most of the time) that we never wear and gold jewelry of all kinds that is just locked up and never worn. It used to be a different stone in a ring for every occasion till I pretty much ran out of stones. Now the kids have already laid claim to all the rings "when Mom is gone" and wife has already given the girls a ring or two each, so I don't buy them anymore. A simple hug and a happy valentines day this year was all.
It kind of meant something to splurge on jewelry back when we were raising 5 kids and taking care of wife's mother and grandmother so money was tight. Now we can pretty much buy anything we want at any time we want so we pretty much don't buy anything. Weird huh.
