My little buddy got a metal detector from Santa. He's been asking for one for awhile now and was very excited to see it under the tree!!! It was 40 degrees outside and as soon as he finished unwrapping his other gifts, he ran upstairs, then came back down almost imediatly dressed in his work clothes to go out treasure hunting. We had to tell him that we were going to Grandma's house and couldn't go out right then. He asked if he could go out right next to the house to see if he could find anything while we were cleaning up the house. He must have found half a dozen screws in about twenty minutes!!!!!

His sister received a digital camera. She's also wanted one for awhile, and was very excited to get it. There excitement is what makes Christmas the most fun for me. She's been taking pictures just about non stop!!!

Steph received a Dell Laptop and I got a new Makita 7 1/4 inch saw and a Makita boom box. I'm becoming a bigger and bigger fan of Makita tools with the more of them that I get. My DeWalt saw died on me recently, so this was really needed. I still buy DeWalt tools, but prefer Makita to anything else. The boom box runs off my cordless batteries or plugs into an outlet. It's not very big, but the sound is amazing!!! We were both blown away at how good it sounds.

Robert,

First of all that is not a turtle suit. Its Body Armor, well that sounds better than being a turtle! :D:D:D:D

We manage to get the kids a Wii this year! MIL bought it through a friend who managed to get a person in the store to hold two of them. The kids have been bowling for hours ever since XMAS morning! Hopefully that will keep them off the TV somewhat.

The youngest got a cat robot that meow and moves. Freaks the dogs out. They think the cat is real. :D The oldest got a robot robot. :)

Me? I got the best present of all, watching the family have some fun opening gifts. :D:D

Later,
Dan

When the lady came to measure my gut for the suit they called it a turtle suit. Well, I didn't really want to be a Ninja Turtle so I asked if they can put a bat symbol on the front and form in some muscles but she said there wasn't much they could do to make me look muscular:(

I asked about Kevlar also but she said they just ran out so all I got was plain old plastic (but it is a soft plastic so that is good).

It is great watching the kids open the gifts. I also enjoy opening their gifts so they can play with them. Tools required, side cutters, utility knife and 4 in 1 screw driver (for when they screw the toys to the package). I don't mind the wire ties too much when I have my side cutters.

BatMan2B,

:D Gracious but opening those packages is a pain. I wonder how many people go to the ER with cuts due to the packaging? Or just get sliced open and deal with it at home. I saw a tool that was designed to open up those plastic packages but of course I did not buy one so it was being real careful with a knife. Thankfully this year we did not have many gifts that took forever to open. Just one or two. Those packages really ruin the open the presents moment...

I am very careful with utility knives as I have used one almost every day for the last 11 years. I have cut myself with them a few times also and have learned to be very careful (you know, that whole cut away from you thing:D ). I really do enjoy it. I can usually have her toys out of the packaging in 30 seconds unless it is one with a lot of little pieces. The side cutters make it so easy for most of them.

I looked at that tool for opening toys and it looked cheap. I would be surprised if held up for one Christmas and at $10 I would rather spend that money on something useful.

Trying again, shorter this time.

Got to spend Christmas with Family in Florida.

Dean and I got to go Kayaking with Dad, Luvi and freinds Jack and Kris.

Pop Pop took the family and I out to Cirque de Soleil, La Nouba, Man, I have seen it on TV, but it just does not compare with real life, They even have a Trials rider, which is an obscure sport I do, it was just flat out incredible.

Picture 235, Dean (11 years old) making up for the lack of white water in TN :D

348, me sliding down the hill about 20' into the water, dad says it shows my best side...
