What decks fit what models??

My LX178 came with the 44" piranha deck and it's awesome. I was hoping to get a 38" side discharge for fall leaves. I have found a few LT155s for so cheap they would make a great donor for tires, deck and other pieces.

So, What decks fit LX178??

There was a 38", 44", 48" deck for that model. See John Deere parts site. The do not carry model numbers or serial numbers according to Deere part site.

The LT was a different deck. Will it fit? Not without modification. Many of these decks are rusting away. The LX deck in 38 was a real nice, heavy deck. Bagged very well too if you were so inclined.
