Yeah, the little guy tries hard to keep up with its bigger siblings. Pint sized but tough and with the heart of a DK45S! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Get the QA mod for your bucket - you'll love it.

Do you have a QA mounting plate on your Kioti bucket? What is involved? Is there a standard plate or plates that can be purchaced and just welded to the Kioti pin mount or is there a pin mount adapter that is removable?

I would just have a welder copy the lip connections that are on your grapple and weld them onto the bucket.

Wouldn't it be about as easy and more flexible to have a QA receiver plate modified with ears so it attaches to the pin connections on the bucket? That way the bucket itself is not modified. I was thinking of asking Millonzi if they could make such an adapter as they already have the measurements for the Kioti bucket pin attachment points.

Man, I just looked at the title of my original post. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif The grammar and spelling fairy must have been asleep when I started this thread in the wee hours a few nights ago. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Re: What CK20\'s with new grapples eat for breakfast?

All the Kioti pins on the bucket will add that much more length to the attachment. More length equals less power at the tip for breakout and more leverage on the QA assembly. Either would work though. Just think, you could dig a deeper ditch with more jive between the loader frame and the bucket.

Re: What CK20\'s with new grapples eat for breakfast?

I appreciate your point in theory but when I look at the bucket (see photo) I cannot see how it would add much distance to put a QA receiver plate on via pins. If I go with the simple welding of a plate then I either have to cut off the pin attachment ears (don't want to do that) or I weld the plate on to the ears which would be almost exactly the same as if the plate had been attached via pins. My description may not be clear but the point is I don't see there would be much difference. Of course either solution ends up with the bucket a little further out from the FEL attachment points than stock. The only way to avoid that would be to cut off the ears and weld the QA receiver plate to the bucket. However, I do serious digging with the backhoe anyway so am not worried about that issue.

Re: What CK20\'s with new grapples eat for breakfast?

Exactly right. If you put the QA type attachment on the Kioti bucket, you're only adding the inches of the QA plate to the mix.
However thick the QA plate is is the extra distance and shouldn't make a huge difference.

Where do you hook up the grapple cylinder hydraulic lines. Rear remotes? How is it routed? Feed me details please........ /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
