Have a small JD 2305 tractor with 260 backhoe. when i'm not using the backhoe the hoses connect into each other with quick disconnect fittings at rear of tractor and occasionally pop apart when I'm using 3 point hitch for other implements.
They are matching Parker male and female fittings from JD that was part of backhoe kit. I connect them with tractor turned off. Whats the deal?

I suspect the 3PH arm is hitting the "loop" hose. Some QD's are designed to separate when the hoses are pulled so as not to tear a hose apart.

Thanks. I'll check into that next time. Have the JD 260 backhoe hooked up again now for several projects including digging out 26" maple stump next to house. Suspect the roots got into foundation drain tile cause never had water in 20 years but now do. I dropped her with the 365 Husky, now have to get those roots outta there. Glad I have a tractor. It may be small but does the job most of the time.
Miss the shade.
