What can a 755 do with a subsoiler?

I watched the video at everythingattachments.com showing a subsoiler cutting a groove to aid drainage. Part of my lawn is an old horse pasture. It's clay, and it has numerous low spots that don't drain well. I would love to be able to do what they did in the video, cutting subsoil channels to aid drainage. Minor surface disturbance would be okay. I'd probably just run the tires over it to press it back into place.

But will a 755 with turf tires do that job? Or do I need 3x the tractor?

Just a guess but to oull a subsoiler you need a 40 hp tractor with ballast.

I have pulled a middle buster with a 755 2wd with ag tires and weights at 8 to 9 inches deep. If you are just wanting to drain some water I think you would be ok. To get the depth you wanted you could make more then 1 pass and go a little deeper each time.

Weight.
What does your 755 weigh ? and how can you make it heavier ?

I probably have 6500 lbs on the ground with loader and loaded R4 tires.
The sub-soiler is very light and of course I can't put the hoe on for more weight.
If I had that skid steer to 3pt adapter I could put it on the front and sub soil backwards with the hoe on the back.
Yeah, that would rip through almost anything around here, except ledge.

You should be able to do that. I have used mine to bury conduit, coax, and radial wires. Put on your loader for more weight on the front wheel drive if the soil is tough. While there are limitations with these smaller tractors, I have been surprised many times with what they will do. The subsoiler in the video of course is for a larger tractor. I bought mine at Tractor Supply many years ago and it has been more than adequate for my applications.

One operational tip. Keep one hand on the three point hitch control. If you begin sensing the tractor lugging, just a very slight lift of the subsoiler for only a moment will keep you going.

Well I bought a Countyline subsoiler at TSC. It's a full size Cat 1 model, I think. I have the high lift 3PH so it lifts it plenty high. Anyway, I am very satisfied with how the 755 did with it. It didn't go down all the way to the cross bar, but it went down to having the bar running 2-3" above the raised bulge in the soil. The bottom of it was at least 12" below original grade, maybe as much as 15", and the 755 pulled it pretty well. Come to think of it, I had the lift links set as short as possible, so I was probably bottomed out on the 3PH drop. Maybe next time I'll lengthen the links and see if I can pull it fully engaged. If not, I'm still happy with what the tractor can do with it.

Now I will be very interested to see if those low spots drain better in the next rainy spell.

They probably won't.
Figure; if you have standing water over saturated soil..... that is what you have.
Where would they drain better TOO ?
You haven't made a "new destination" for the standing water.

The HIGH spots will probably drain a bit quicker... TO the low spots.

The subsoiler is supposed to cut drainage paths (downward) into compacted pasture. That's what my low spots are. I will be interested to see. If not, then I'll be back to Plan A, which is regrading and adding some drains. I'll be doing some of that anyway.

My gardens have been remaining swamped in the spring after the rains and snowmelts, so last fall I decided to rip the gardens and see if they would drain better. Man what an improvement. They dried out faster and the soil worked up nicer this spring. I sunk the sub-soiler down the the crossbar, and I had to raise it to keep from piling the soil up at the end of each pass.
