What are your predictions for 2008?

My wife's health ins. will go from $375.Mo. to $444.mo,

I wish I were that lucky. I'm already paying $515 a month just for my wife's health insurance. I guess the good news is that I would have predicted ours to go up again this year and I got the notice yesterday that the premiums will not be changing this year, but her co-pay on prescriptions will go up.

This was a slap the forehead moment for me when we changed insurances a few years ago

Make sure that you ask the pharmacy the non-insurance price of medications.

I found that a few of the prescriptions that my wife had been paying a $20 copay for cost less than $20 to buy outright from the pharmacy.

2009 is my "magic number" year when I'll be 62. I could wait until 66, but I just can't think of any good reason why I should. Don and Bird are already retired, but you, mikim, and me are close behind.
