What are the most reliable tractors to own?

/ What are the most reliable tractors to own? #91

I was looking at the best of tractors, and I came across this list as the most reliable tractors in North America..

1. John Deere

2. New Holland

3. Case IH

4. Kubota

5. Massey Ferguson

6. Fendt

7. Claas

Is this list correct or is Kubota better than John Deere or on par, and why are Case and New Holland even up there. And what happened to all the others, like Mahindra, Sonalika, etc.. or are these listed the best tractors.
Probably the best one of the bunch is the one that parts are quickly available.

Simpler mechanical ones with limited electronics that I'm not intimidated to tear apart and fix imho

I spent a lot of time looking for a new tractor two years ago. It came down to John Deere and Kubota,...but when I did "build your own" the Kubota was almost 2K less than the JD. That settled it for me and I've been really pleased with my 4701.

The best one is the one that doesn't need parts.
Everything breaks eventually or needs maintenance parts. If parts aren’t readily available then the down time becomes excessive. The most reliable have good parts availability.

The best tractor is one that is paid for and has the best consumable parts availability and of course checks all your boxes. Brand is inconsequential.

I disagree, as I immediately found many issues when looking at some of the tractors, to say nothing of the dealers for some of the brands, it was bad. The only dealers who even tried to help with a purchase were Kubota and John Deere to say the least, and that added to marks against the other tractors as how could you depend on them for just regular maintenance to keep the tractors running or real issues on the tractors.
Why ask your question then since you already know the answer? Buy the JD or Kubota done deal.

In my experience, resale value tells me all I need to know. It tells me, based on collective wisdom of those with skin in the game, what is the best value for their money and by the nature of that, the most reliable. The highest percentage of resale price compared with retail wins. That's just what I think.
Not everyone buys a tractor with the mind set of what resale will be.One would think they purchase it for 30 plus years of service.I understand life throws curve balls at us but I try to buy for the long haul.
