perhaps an internal wrenching plug with a few threads missing would clear the obstruction.
But then I suppose it would require a "special" allen key to get to it. ****! Don't ya hate stuff like that!
This I will have to look into, use a tapered type plug similar to the plugs on a differential. It would definitely clear then if it was just the threads (it was the flange on the stock plug that was hitting on the axle pivot). Plus it would actually be easier to go straight up with an Allen wrench vs a box wrench (couldn't get a socket on because of the pivot).
