I'm new here! My husband and I have just bought 15 acres! Husband grew up working on his family's farm. He always wanted to go back and now we're taking the plunge. We'll be growing timber and alfalfa on our place for about 3-4 years before adding live stock. Looking for farm equipment for our beginner farm. Slow and go is our motto!:):) Any advice is deeply appreciated!

Welcome to TBN. Your approach is probably the best - go slow. Scout around your new area and see what others are using. Talk to them and get their advice & comments. The properly chosen equipment can last a long time and you want the first choice to be your best. Most of all - have fun on your new property.

Welcome to TBN, you might want to check the haying forum advice, pretty much everyone in my area have gone to big tractors and big round balers and you can quickly spend a lot of money on those things, we always had someone bale ours on shares.
