Westinghouse Generator Model No: WGen9500DF review

I’ll try to find the manual for my old generator to see if it lists THD, but it caused problem with my pellet stove board.
If Amazon won’t take this one back, at least it will run my well pump.

Found my old generator manual, but no specs at all in it.
It did damage electronics, so that is why I’m concerned about the Westinghouse one.
Amazon is taking it back, they arranged a pickup. I never unboxed it, so I think that helped.

I currently run a Generac generator and it has been worth every cent I paid. We lose power several times a year so it is vital. Five years ago we had a Christmas Eve storm knock out power until January 2nd. Luckily the generator performed flawlessly and with DIRECTV the only thing that was missing was my high speed internet. The way things are headed now days I have been contemplating changing over to a diesel 22kw with a 200gal base tank. The problem with natural gas generators is that if you ever have a severe enough emergency the ng can get shut off.

Yes, starting to look that way. Very expensive though. My goal at first was to not have to run extension cords for fridge and freezer and internet, not whole house. We get few long term outages. The recent 24 hr outage was the longest in over 10 years.

Generac means getting propane tank, etc which really adds to the cost. $10k solution instead of $1200.

About 7 years ago, I threw my money at a whole house 22K Generac NG. Love it. Quiet and runs everything. It was a big leap for me, but I decided to make $ sacrifices elsewhere. I don’t have any regrets.
I’d suggest doing it and Generac has surprised me at how good they were to work with when we did have a problem.

If the power companies decide to do away with NG, there’s going to be a lot more problems to deal with. I guess it could be converted to propane? Wonder if Propane is going away, too? lol

We've had two 4-hour blackouts in the last 2 days. So glad I've got a generator! My champion has been earning its keep once again. Rarely have outages but this year they came at the hottest time possible and was very glad for the emergency power.

Glad to here you have a generator for blackouts situation.
Fortunately, no blackouts in Northern California until now.
Next several days are the most hottest day so far.
Preparing for worst.
