My brother and I are Kioti dealers in Uxbridge Ontario. We switched from dealing Kubota about 5 years ago. It was a tough decision because Kubota makes great tractors and they are a good company to deal with. After a full year of study and with a lot of help from this website we made the switch and we have never looked back. The Kioti is more tractor dollar for dollar. Our market share in our local area is over 30% in the 20 - 50 hp range. Even the big guys are noticing - not that we want to be noticed by them.


I have been reading TBN for years and so I thought it was time I joined.

I am glad to here that you are moving to Kioti, they are coming on strong.
i HAVE SAID FOR A FEW YEARS NOW kIOTI MAKES AS GOOD A TRACTOR AS ANYONE.

Give it a few years and they will be right up there with the big boys no doubt in my mind.

Dick, the major thing I see different about Kubota and Kioti is that Kubota has a full line of equipment: tractors, mini-excavators, lawncare machines, etc. I don't think Kioti has that many lines, but that may well not be your primary market. What about the Kioti based Bobcat tractors? Wallace changed from Kioti to Bobcat and certainly Bobcat has a huge line of equipment for every need?

I'm not trying to infer anything with my questions. It's just random thoughts I have when you say you have switched. It's obviously better economically to be a Kioti dealer instead of Kubota. What I like about your post is that you speak highly of Kubota while saying you have decided to switch. You don't feel any need to burn bridges or trash your former supplier. I like that.:thumbsup: When I bought my New Holland, I looked at a Kioti. Probably the only reason I did not buy Kioti is that the dealership is over 65 miles from where I live. The NH dealer is about 22 miles and I drove by there everyday on my way to and from work.
