Can anyone suggest a good system to use on a Toolcat 5600?

So do you call your "wench" a "toolcat" to her face or vice versa?

 You guys show no mercy.

Add "Warn" to your searches - lot of folks say that is the best quality brand.

I'd advise against that as well as referring to her as " woman" or "my old lady"or "Dam squaw" . Leads to many lonely nights in the dog house and the dog has fleas.

I agree with Greasemonkey. I operate a Warn winch off front and rear of my Toyota Tacoma and rear of my Toolcat. I can winch and skid logs and brush piles up slopes and out of tight spots to get easier access with brush grapple. Winch cable reaches out 100 ft plus a 50 ft extension if needed. Control cable is long enough to operate winch from cab if necessary. A rear mounted camera will also allow a view of winching action. I think that it is a smart purpose and appreciate the winches portability.

If your planning to use it with your ToolCat I would go with a hydraulic driven winch. 12v will run your battery down in a hurry if your doing much winching. Hydraulic will pull faster and harder then similar 12V and you won't have to wait around while your battery charges again after a long pull.
