Hi building new lift arms for my John Deere 666 snow blower, I'm welding flat bar on the face of D2 flat bar, the D2 flat bar is 3/4 thick 4 inch wide that will be the new arms do I pre heat the D2 and what wire to use stick or mig any info would be great thanks Mark

I'd take a step back and ask if you really need D2 for anything on a snowblower... Mild steel would seem to be a lot easier for this...
