Welding a chain clevis to my bucket

I am the proud new owner of a ck 25 w/ fel and want to weld a chain clevis to the center of my bucket on the top back side for lifting but the plate seems a little thin. will The plate hold a 3/8" clevis?

I, too, prefer the back of the bucket. You can lift more, and there is no
risk of bending the top lip.

Here is a photo of a chain slot I recently installed on the back of a new
CK20. The bkt is about the same as the CK25/30. You DO need a
reinforcement plate, however. I used a 1/4" plate, about 6x6.

ok i have decided to weld a round anchor tie down to each side of my bucket.
