Given all the attention the KL130 loader received, would anyone chance welding a bracket to the cross torque tube for grapple lines?

Just afraid if I do, they will come out with a clamp around package like the KL120.

Always bolt or clamp. Welding is final without a mess, besides the metalurgical changes in the structural member being welded to. You can adjust a bolt or clamp but not a weld. Never weld on a structual member. Good luck on your endeavor, Ron.

Don't weld on the actual tube. The removable access plate is fair game though. You could do a cool bulkhead fitting through the plate. Are you dealing with the old 130 or the new one? The new one has a huge cover plate that is of heavy sheet and would work great.

I am dealing with the old 2006 :( style. I may be able to run a piece of flat stock from the cover area over to the side and bend it up and around. Thats a good thought Joe, Thanks for the reply.

Bruce,
A lot of loaders have the metal pipes retained by clamps that use 1/4" bolts tapped into the arms. Drill and tap holes for a couple of 1/4" x 28 bolts and bolt the bracket to the cross member. It would make a neat clean install.
