Weird tempersture coincidence.

Just a bit ago I clicked on the local weather channel and it said the temperature was 0 degrees C. Then they brought up the record high and low temperature for this day and the low was minus 23.6 degrees C while the high was plus 23.6 degrees C. How often are the high and low record daily temps the same except for one being plus and the other minus and at the exact time on the day you see this reported the temperature is exact the average of the two and is actually zero? I think it's a very strange coincidence, almost Twilight Zone worthy!

That reminded me of this: Record high and low set on the same day.

cold front (also known then as The Great Blue Norther) that established a set of weather records that arguably are unique in modern weather history. On November 11, 1911 (remembered easily for now as 11/11/11), the afternoon temperature in Oklahoma City reached a record high for the date of 83, before plunging 66 degrees to a record low of 17 at midnight that evening. Both daily temperature records remain unbroken and untied since 1911.
