How much does concrete weigh after it's dry? I have some slabs that are about 5' x 5' and various thickness that I'd like to move, but I want to know how much they weigh before I try to move them.

I don't know much about concrete (other than it is a pain to mix by hand! /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif), but according to this site, a good rule-of-thumb is 150 lbs/cu. ft. It also gives a calculation for figuring slab weight.

Concrete is most often taken at 150#/cf, in all engineering calculations.... It can vary from around 95-110 for light weight to as much as 165 for heavy weight rock..... Most comes out to be around 144-145 lbs/cubic foot but it is most always as 150 for estimating weight.
