I've wondered this ever since I bought mine 9 years ago and just never was handy to have it weighed. I used to haul mine all over the place when doing commercial work for a few years with it but just never worked-out to be around a scale when loaded. I already knew exactly what my trailer weighed too, would have been easy to check it if I had had the chance. I always guessed - 1) bare tractor was advertised around 4500 lb. if I remember right. 2) I guessed around 1500 lb. for the complete FEL, mounting brackets & braces etc. I could be way off on that estimate but don't think I am. 3) I have right at 55 gal. of methanol/water mix good to -10 F in each rear tire. That translates roughly to 440 lbs. of ballast each so that would add 880 lbs. to the total. Oh yea, almost forgot - my canopy must weigh 150 lbs. by itself !!! Mine is a steel one and I've had it off quite a few times for various reasons - what a bear to do by yourself.
This all totals 7030 lbs. 99 1/2% of the time I have some sort of implement on back - my boxblade stays on when not using another one and my boxblade is pretty lightweight - maybe 350 lbs. if I'm lucky. I really like the weight of my tractor - it's a little bulldozer and has a good center of gravity, travels good on the slopes for me. Considering R4's aren't the best for plowing, I can bury my 2 bottom plow pretty deep and go right along as well as my subsoiler works well too. It would be hard to find a similar tractor with as much psi on the ground, I think. I can just imagine the traction potential of my tractor if it were outfitted with some aggressive R1's for plowing & such.
