I have a CT235 with 105 hours. This weekend, I had 2 items I need some advise:

--- When first starting the tractor on both Sat. and Sunday, the glow plug light did not come on. It was HOT outside (say 95 degrees). Do glow plugs not automatically come on when th etemperature is over a certain degree?

--- I was a little low on front axel fluid, so I added some. I looked at the window and was still low. So, I added some more. I added about 1/2 quart and the level was right in the middle. Then, after working a little, the window showed the level at the very top. This morning, its still at the top. How long after adding fluid should I wait to check the window?

Thanks.

The glow plugs are for cold weather you dont need them when its warm out. As for the front axle i did the same thing at my 50 hour service i filled let it sit and it would run down and take more. drove it around and then checked it was alittle low added some now mine is also at top of glass i think a guy needs to let it sit awhile after driving it before he adds any i dont think mine is high enough to hurt any thing.

The control unit will not engage the glow plugs if engine temp sender is reading temp over 86 degrees.

A little extra oil in the front axle is better than low oil, that's why the level check is on opposite side of the fill plug. It takes time to low through the differential.
