Ya, but this is the worst we have had in years! Just got about 8"of wet mucky stuff last night. It was snowing hard all day, but it was a little warm to stick. if it was a little colder, we would have gotten over a foot. On top of 2 feet a few days ago. COME ON SPRING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jim,
How long does winter last up here..well not sure this year.
Heck been known to snow even in May,also have the ground still frozen in spots until 3rd week of May.
Last 3 winters have been mild, and I guess the snow god decide it was time to feel its wrath this year. /w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif
If I every figure out how to use this scanner I would send some pictures.

We got a dusting of snow last night..8" and now the wind blowing. /w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif

The city stop plowing our roads w/dump truck that has a wing, for the snow banks are to high and the truck keeps getting stuck,so now we have to wait for the grader w/its big wing to open the roads..oh well can't complain better than 100 degree weather and no water.

About how many babies does your goose have each year?

Your local farmer are getting ready to plant, and the famers that sugar up here are having a tough time w/there sugar lines being under so much snow...talk about to different worlds.

Well I guess have one more cup and than kick the tires and light the fire on the Kubota, and try to find a place or two for the snow.

Have a great weekend and stay safe.

Look on the bright side.
Couple of weeks than it will be the first day of spring, than couple weeks after that we turn the clocks ahead, than the Easter Bunny shows up,than mud season starts, follow by the black flies and there cousin the mosquitoes....arrrr geeze I'm depressing myself now..think I'll go back in and hibernate until June.

Remember that old saying??
The good lord put it here and he will take it away...well I have a lot of praying to do than for this snow. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Be careful outside and have a pleasant weekend.

Well, he is good to go! The rows are 24" on center, He will plant every other row and knock the unused row down, then the rows will be 48' on center and he will have plenty of room for his tiller as the plans grow.

Jim, you're just making me more depressed./w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif My onions should have been planted a month ago, and most of the rest of the garden should be in by now, but my garden's a mud hole, the rest of the property's a swamp, and it's raining again today./w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif

jim,
My taters are looking good. Almost all are up but the ones that came up first did get a little blistered from the sand in the 25mph wind we had here last week. I'll be planting corn (4 rows at a time) each Sat for the next 3 Sats and the rest of the beans and peas will go in the ground in about 2 weeks. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Jim, I only got 1", but since the ground was already saturated . . .. It's only rained 26 of the last 71 days. Trouble is that doesn't leave enough time between showers for it to dry out. If or when it does get dry, there's going to be a lot of tractors running 24 hours a day in this area.

I'm a little late getting on this thread, but those are some beautiful garden pictures. That soil looks pretty easy to cut into. Did you plow it with that single bottom plow first?

How much do those blocks weigh? I could always have my wife stand back there......Oh- hello honey I'm sure that won't be NEAR enough weight.........

Alan, the house blocks weighs about 120 pounds a piece. I only disced the garden this year and put up the rows. I did break it with a moldboard (turning plow)last year. it was pretty easy to disc and worked up pretty good
