Strangest weather experience I have had was in Las Vegas. Walk down the street in the sunshine and be sweating, then cross the street to the shady side and be cold. Coming from North Carolina that was a different experience.
"Feels" hot/cold. It all relative to individuals with humidity being a contributing factor. Nothing strange about it.
Also because your body gets acclimated to the temperatures. Right now 60' would feel hot to me, as my body is accustomed to sub freezing weather; yet the same temp in August would have me running for a sweatshirt, as I will be used to 80' + weather.EXACTLY!! It "feels" cold in the winter because the dew point is low and "feels" hot in the summer because the dew point is high. Controlling the humidity has as much to do with comfort as controlling the temperature.
..
I don't mind cold, [as long as it's not <10 degrees F], but I hate snow, ice, and drizzle, and even more than that- I hate idiots who forget how to drive in it after a 5-day warm spell, or can never figure it out in the first place.
I leave our house set at 72. Winter, summer, spring and fall, 72. And all I hear from wife and kids is "It's hot in here'" No, it's 72. "It's cold in here." No, it's 72. Over and over....
