I thought about bolting a 2 x 4 in place of a bolt-on cutting edge. When it wears down I would just get another one.

I had skid plates welded to the bottom of my bucket, along the sides and across the back to keep from gouging my driveway and wearing a hole in the back of the bucket. Sure would like a replaceable cutting edge, though, as mine is welded on....

This is a front view of the bucket. I did not play with the bucket to reduce the gap between the ground and the bucket when I took the picture, the gap is about 1/2-3/4" But with the fel tilted it is less then an 1/8". The more I tilt the bucket the less gap at the bottom.

Side view of bucket, if I had to do it again I would put the bolts further apart.
