I'm waiting for all the high profile lawyers and ambulance chasers alike to band together and name any American citizen that wishes to be names as a plaintiff in the worlds biggest class action law suit against the Republic of China for damages (including punitive) occurred because of COVID...

Because it would crash the world economy. The world runs on dollars.
Look at the suffering in Venezuela, with its currency valueless. Everywhere would be miserable like that except for a fortunate few hiding from everyone else, on their private islands.

Well, not anymore. Just like our 401K/IRA plans, the advisers say to diversify your holdings. Likewise, with the IMF and WBS, other nations with an industrial base are well ahead of us with a solid currency. Additionally, those nations are buying and storing gold.
When we look at the Great Reset that is now at the door, all those prior nations that were currency leaders fell from the top. The USD is no longer pegged to anything tangible of value anymore. Not gold, not silver, not oil, not resources, not even technology. As the saying goes, a fiat currency runs out of steam at the 200 year mark. Our dollar fiat is no different than Greece or Italy as our debt in the TRILLIONS will come back home as IOUs.
The USD is really a currency based on a private company called the Federal Reserve. Sounds like it's part of the gov, but it's just a LENDER of printed green backs of fiat.

But the question was why not default all that US debt.
We really don't want to do that. And live like Venezuela.
