did us see that one on usnews water rights/under litigation where this priest got fined for using !!!!!WINTER RUNOFF"!!!!!
for filling his three ponds where kids annd families swam during the summer...it's gonna come to a point where if u drill a well they're gonna tax u for it ..mark my words...i saw so many rural areas in n alabama way out in the stix where the state ran public water and forced the people toj pay wether they used it or not!!!god i hate the governmnt!!!!

Here is a good link for OHIO I think some one else posted it on a different forum but on TBN someplace. I used it to get my map of my well.

but ya GOV needs to be replaced with a new one which is "for the people and by the people," not the one we have noow which is "for themselves and by threats arrests and jail time!"

Hate to say this bud but I think its the second most valuable commodity on earth!!!!! What the hell are we gona do bout it mark!!!!! i'm so tired of thinkin bout how the lawyers/politicians are taking away the very lifeblood of humanity!!!! the one thing that makes a cold drink of clean cool water worthwhile....my!!!!!!!!DADGUMN FREEDOM!!!!!!...

Want another outrage? State of Wa a few years ago tried to push through a law requiring meters on wells. So after you go to the expense of drilling and developing a well you could be charged for the water used out of it. The subject came up a few weeks ago and the consensus was that the law is still being promoted.

Massachusetts already has such a law that requires a payment to the state if the well serves more than a certain number of people (I believe that it is 24). I know of a business that has a well and must meter and test the water quarterly, since the total number of employees exceed the amount of people specified in the state law. I believe that the "tax" is based on gallonage of water pumped. Even if they should get the number of employees down below the threshold of the law, they will still have to pay the state. Once you are into the "program", you can't get out.

Here in the Arizona mountains, landowners do not have any rights to water that runs through their property. Any that runs off the property automatically belongs to the Salt River Project, which owns several dams which supply Phoenix. According to some of my relatives in Colorado, there are areas in Colorado where homeowners are not allowed to use well water anywhere outside their houses. I expect that we are going to see more and more restrictions on water usage out west as the human population grows. I am surprised to hear that water is becoming an issue back east, though.

And in some instances, even more restrictive. In 1987 I met two brothers in Colorado; one who owned a service station/restaurant and the other owned a motel across the road from each other and right on a river. They said they were not allowed to drill a well nor to take water from the river. Instead they had their own tanker truck and bought their water in town, trucked it out to their place, and pumped it into their overhead tank. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif Knowing that one of my employees had bought a little land in that area for future retirement, I asked about it when I got back to Dallas and she said that was true in that area; that there was a limit on the number of wells that could be drilled and that she made sure she had a permit before buying the property; that many property owners could not get a permit to drill a well on their property.

Yep all that sounds about right! state local and federal government wants to control everything! what to do!? hummm not sure., best thing I can say is VOTE and sent letters to all elected officials that are in you're area.

I worked for a large SALTY SNAKE FOOD MAKER food for fun of it kind of place not stating the name though. they (the company owned some 100 + acres locally, they drilled several deep wells for water and produced way extra water so the city/town wanted to drill for new wells too on their property and they said yes. then the town drolled wells and uses that water for city drinking. now get this. they told the company that they could not use their own well becasue it could contain contaminates. so the company HAD to buy the water from the town! (yep that's righ buy the water from the wells on it's own property and pay the city for it as well as pay for 100% sewage rates even though the ejected water was already treated in the company's in-house water treatment facility!) so now the city was profiting almost 1 million a year from the company by charging them for their own water pumped from their own well which they dug and paid for themselves before the city even knew there was water to be had there!!! lol

anyhow this is part of reason the USA is not free anymore.
(may have to change my tag line to that saying "Freedom isn't FREE, some have paid for it with their lives!" while I was active duty for 6 yrs durring the 1st gulf war, and almost re-signed up for this one too but alsa getting too old for combat... perhaps it was fact I said I wanted to shoot people?
