1-800-433-9553: this is a number i got from a Popular Science magazine the other day: its some company that does water purification. when you call the number you listen to an advertisement about their process..has anyone used them or know anything about there "process".

Why don't you post the name of the company so the rest of us don't have to listen to their phone ad? Maybe it will ring a bell with someone who see's it, but is not inclined to call, like myself.

Not trying to be a jerk with my reply, I just don't like putting my number on a companys caller ID. Even though I signed up for the "do not call" registry, once I call them for sales info, they can legally then call me with sales junk I don't want to recieve.

I had a problem with my city water and I was told they only test what the state mandates. Typical city...

I have an RO/DI for water

heehaw,my wife runs a water plant and a waste/water plant in the town we live in,and yes there's not a lot of tests that they HAVE to run, just as long that there within the states peramiters then they're good to go.
but because my wife is the towns utility superintendent, and she has to run all of these, she says it gets a little scary, cause you don't want to mess anything up.
But she says that there are more regulations with the sewage plant than there is with the drinking water, which don't make a whole lot of sense that they are more worried about the quality of the crap (literally, among other things) that comes out, than the quality of drinking water that goes in.

i didn't even notice the name of the company..and really didn't know how to describe the process they say they are using to clean the water: to keep your number off their( and others) caller id, you can dial *67 and then the number, and it will block your number from being displayed..
i have a couple friends that are licensed, certified or whatevers required, and operate water treatment plants: according to them, every time they go to training, the main thing they are told, is to up the amount of chlorine..
