I get my water for my home and barrn from a well. The problem is not enough pressure. Any suggestions?

Is this a deepwell or shallow well? Do you have jet pump or a submersible? What size is your expansion tank? Do you have low pressure with one faucet running or with more than one? How many GPM does your well produce? These answers will help with a fix.

If it used to have enough pressure and now it doesn't, it could be a pump going bad. If it is a new setup it could be undersized. You have a lot of variables there. Give us a little more info.

What's the gauge say when the pump cuts out?.. if it only comes up to 30-40 psi.. pressure switch may be misadjusted.. though i usuallly like to spend the extra 4$ and repalce the gauge as well when i replace a pressure switch just to be safe and not blow my plumbing apart due to a bad gauge..

does the pump cut on immediatly when you turn a hose on? if so tank is waterlogged.

If you have good pressure at the well, but not good pressure and flow at the house, then you probably have too small a pipe from the well to the house. Depending on the distance from the house to the well, you may need a 1" or 3/4" pipe. 1/2" PVC or copper won't carry enough flow.

Agree., I have 1" treated running to the house, and barn sinks etc... have put it in a 2" main along side the fence line that will be used for a drip system later on. Most places I have seen really do have a too small supply line, somehow the plumbers are not counting all the outflow points or folks are adding a lot more than the orginal design.
