I have a creek up a slight hill about 350 feet from my garden
and 650 feet from my newly planted grass. I have a well and
would like to pump water from creek to water both.
Any suggestions? Dont want a major investment.

If it really is up hill, you could probably get away with a bunch of garden house and use gravity (i.e. siphon) to get it going. Seems like it would work and be cheap at that.

Hicory,

Have a friend that does that with an inexpensive sump pump. It was kind of funny, in that we have water restrictions in the Atlanta area and people would turn him in for watering against the rules. The city put a sign in his yard to let people know he was using a natural water source.

One restriction - I don't know how big the creek is but be careful of modifying the creekbed. State and Federal officials love to get involved when you do that!! Of course, out of sight, out of mind.
