I need some help because i really dont know how to do a google search for what I want to do.

We have Directv and want to add another TV in the house. We do not want to pay for another receiver since we very seldom watch the additional receiver we currently have.

I think there are some products that would allow me to broadcast the tv signal from my office (where the receiver is) to the bedroom without having it wired up. I would also like to be able to change channels from the bedrooom.

What do i need to accomplish this?

thanks

Brian

You need a "wireless audio video sender". ;)

I don't have Direct, I have Dish, but my receivers are already set to do what you want. They output a signal on, for example channel 61, that you can feed back to another TV. Mine came with two remotes. One remote is Infrared and the other is RF. The RF remote can be used at the remotely located TV.

For that to work you need wires, and the original poster did not want to add wires.

I have my entire house wired wtih two coax cables in each video location all home run back to a head end. I can watch any VCR, DISH, DVD, etc... on any TV in the house that way. Works great.

I also have Dish network. One receiver that works on two tv's each has it's own remote. It also has the dvr and that is nice to have. JC

Not really. The frequencies are far enough apart that they can go on the same cable. Now if he has no cable at all to the other room it's a differnt story.
