I have a pair of Carhart coveralls that I used when I still had my tractor- it has a strong diesel smell. Well, now that I no longer have the tractor I would like to eliminate the smell- any hints? My wife says burn them- I would like to think I can at least minimize the smell.
Thanks!

Lots of luck, I spilled a little on my pant leg and it took about 3to4 washing to make it gone
use TIDE
:)

It can't be done. Flames are the only known cure, and that doesn't leave you with much to wear.

Waterless hand soap, the orange stuff, seems to help. Then wash in hot water.

Grandma used gasoline... but I'm not advocating it!

We also used a Dry Cleaning Fluid called Energine.

Add Borax to the wash...

And some old aircraft mechanics swear by Coca-cola...

Simple green works well. A bit of a soak, then through the wash.
