Washers for fluid plugs on L3200HST

Harbor Freight has a set of copper washers for $7.00. I used them the last time I changed the oil. I carefully watched the oil usage after several short runs right after changing the oil and it's now been approaching a year. I see no leaks from those copper washers. They are not "crush" washers - at least not by name.
