Warranty issue dispute with Kubota - Advice anyone

I fear the OP has left the building, so we are left speculating based on the scraps of information we have. Perhaps there were no warning signs, but if it got hot enough to lock up the engine, I wonder:

  • No strange sounds?
  • No hot smell?
  • No evidence of leaking coolant?
  • No white smoke?
  • No perception of heat?

I feel bad for the OP, but I don't think he's going to get the warranty.

Only 4 post & no activity in 2 days. Been a member for a while though. I expect he didn't like what he heard & isn't comming back as well. Screenshot_20200307-093155.jpg

Looking at what was posted in the owners manual, it think he has a case...it says to check the overflow container.

He may delete the earlier posts he made. Seems if he had contacted the dealer in a timely fashion the engine may have survived.

I have never taken the rad cap off my new LS...will need to start doing that if I take into the woods.

"everytime"....before you start your tractors and vehicles you visually check the oil and water levels?
While it may be a good idea, I have NEVER before heard of ANYONE actually doing anything even similar to that since the 40's, when gas stations did check the oil every time you filled up.

All the time bub because I have to open the hood to access the master disconnect and the rad bottle is right next to it and the dipstick is directly below it. Takes but a second. I check the air in my tractor and car tires as well as the fluid levels.

Just because you never heard of anyone doing that don't mean it's not. I do it and I do it every time I run them. Esspecially my tractors. Maybe thats why I have a 2002 and a 2004 Kubota with 2400 and 4500 hours on them with no issues at all (other than regular maintenance).

I don't consider almost 100 grand in tractors to be disposable. Maybe you do, I don't.

Probably not. He came here for sympathy not a viable answer. If I pulled a shot like that, I'd never fess up to it on a public forum. If I knew where he lives, I'd send him a diaper.

Tractors: every time. Boat: every time. Generator: every time. Cars and trucks: once in a while... if I think of it...

Same here. Although I don't have a boat nor a generator that big. But I do have to lift the ROPS everytime to open the hood since it's a mid mounted ROPS and it folds to the front. It's heavy, but it's not that big of a deal.

The whole learning point of this thread is that if there's a problem with the tube between your rad bottle and the radiator cap neck you will have the same result as the OP. Rad bottle is full. Radiator is not. So unless you are removing the radiator cap every time you open the hood you are susceptible to the problem he has.
