Warning lights staying on

I had the same issue. I replaced the alternator and fan belt today and it works great. My indicator lights were constantly on for since I purchased my used L2650. I noticed the lights were dimming down and it killed the charge in the new battery after turning the engine off. A friend checked the alternator with the voltmeter and said the alternator was shot. I ordered my alternator and fan belt online and replaced the parts this morning. All systems are go. The charging system warning light and air filter light went off after the engine started up.

Sorry this is taking so long, but I checked the alternator and it's dead. I'm going to take it to be rebuilt today and hopefully have that done with. Thanks for the help.

let me know what it cost you to have it rebuilt. I paid $275 for a new one.

Well I got the alternator rebuilt for $98 (about $60 of that was parts). I also called to get a price from the local dealer on a new one and it was $212.

Put it in yesterday and both lights went out. So the alternator going out did cause the air filter light to stay on also.
