What model are you looking forYep it's been the same experience down here in my neck of the woods. You know when an Alabama boy is talking to a dealer in Michigan the market's bad!

L3902 or 3038EWhat model are you looking for
What I am looking for they would not have in stock. If I were you, I’d look harder in your area. Buying northern rust belt equipment sitting outside is just buying depreciation. Even if its cheaper, you still have to pay crazy money for shipping and the paints probably already 25% shot.
Is there a close alternative in your area? I find that getting exactly what you want is very gratifying, but at what price? Theres the exact trailer I want in Florida, but its expensive to make a 1500 mile trip these days. I found a close alternative just 70 miles from me.What I am looking for they would not have in stock.

Yes and Orchard grasses, too.Timothy?
This is not an easy question to answer. Is there a close alternative for Kubota? No. Is there a close alternative for Deere? Maybe. Overall the dealers are frustrating to deal with.Is there a close alternative in your area?
Yes but freight became one of the issues with the dealer in TX.Have you looked in other southern states, Florida…Texas?
Not necessarily. That's why I think we could all do each other a favor if we share the good dealers we come across or know about with the whole community so we can have alternatives. You’ll pay less and probably get a nicer unit.

If things don't change I might just have to do that.I have Messicks near me. They are huge, but family owned. They usually have tremendous inventory, but I’d think shipping might be quite expensive. They are probably 800-900 miles from you?
When I have been in your situation, I went back to the drawing board and with extra research, found some great farm equipment. Sometimes I had my heart set on a particular brand and model. It’s wasnt available. After some additional research, I found an alternative I was happier with than the original model I wanted.
