Just an update, yesterday morning it got down to -6F, and yesterday with the windchill it was -11F, and it was a balmy 70F in the cab, and the heat was on the lower part, no where near maxed out.

I could not find the old thread, but a guy from either Tennessee or Georgia had asked.

I hope the AC is just as cool, -11F, I mean. :)

I live in Texas and the cab tractor was bought for the a/c but, you know what? .... that heater during the winter is really nice too. :)

I have done a solid 20 hours of site relocation of snow this winter. All night work, cold nights, one night i was sick with the flu! Thank heavens for my factory cab, toasty warm, comfortable seat,cd player, plenty of auxillary lights, life is good!

My old massey 1135 that i blew snow with didn't have a heater. Just a semi-tight cab. wasn't horrible, but i do like my new one with a heater. Only had it outside once, hasn't snowed since i got it, or at least enough to use it. Got the 7 1/2 ft Lucknow ready to go. The radio is going to be nice also. Truly will be spoiled!

I ran open station tractors for 23 years, i enjoyed it. For the last decade i have enjoyed cab tractors, no going back now.

Amen! If you're going to be living in the machine, be comfortable. Spending winter work days cold or wet and summer ones getting burnt and choking on dust is no way to go through life.

Will:

If it is 70 degrees in your cab how come you aren't in shorts and a tea shirt drinking a cold one when your moving snow!

Cab would be nice, especially when these "dusing of snow" things turn into seven inches of snow like it did yesterday.

It was -11F outside, and windy, and It is not parked in a heated garage, just a shelter, so walking to the house after in shorts is not going to happen. :)

Some day, maybe either a shop attached to the house, an underground tunnel. :)
