Looking for a used semi flatbed for a bridge. Wondering where to look for the best deal. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Flat beds, box trailers and shipping containers are pretty scarce around here. This is a bad time to be looking for a bargain on any over the road or shipping equipment. Somebody is snapping them up.

Depends what your wanting to drive across it. I made a bridge out of 4 utility poles. Spans 25' across a small creek. I drive a 40 hp tractor with attatchments it's around 5,000 lb and don't have any issues.

Perhaps look into a “Bailey” bridge. Prebuilt and you just need piers for installation.

I see used logging steel bridges for sale around here for about the same money. They have the equipment and expertise to set it too. Your span, weight, durability, time, money and safety are factors to consider. Bridge accidents are costly.

I am doing the same thing this year if the weather cooperates. My uncle a retired union laborer designed a bridge for me out of precast concrete blocks and dox plank we are spanning approximately 30 feet and about 6 feet high. The bridge is going to be 10 feet wide with gravel approaches. I will rent an excavator to prep the bank and dig down to the sandstone base. We are going to set it on 6 inches of concrete. The precast company is going to set the blocks and dox plank the whole thing is going to be less than 5 grand unless concrete gets crazy expensive this spring. We need it this heavy to get hay equipment across the creek since my new neighbor will not let me use his driveway anymore.he is a rich kid that wants my back field (40acers) for basically nothing
