Wanting to pick up john deere cx gator. hard to find on west coast. willing to pay shipping.

I know what you mean...

My neighbor bought one new from the Dealer that was used a few times for parades...

He uses it all the time and my nieces are always asking to go for a ride.

It really climbs well and power has never been an issue.

The one short coming is brakes on only one axle... not really a problem till you find yourself sliding sideways down a hill...

He compensated by placing some weight in the bed when it would be otherwise empty.

Only issue/problem is the oem tires didn't hold up... went to a heavy duty with tubes and no more problems...

Might also look at the Toro Workman MD (also, the older variants, the Twister, 2000 series, etc), the Cub Cadet Volunteer, Landpride Trekker, etc.
