Want to make a post hydraulic post hole digger!

Can anyone give me some insight on whether the reversible hyd. motor I have is a good candidate for P.H. digger?
It's a NIPPON GEROTER CO. ORBMARK ORB-S-190-2PC
11.5 cu.in./rev,
380 rpm,
269-319 ft.lbs.@2030-2465psi,
Has radial load rating of 1461 lbs. and thrust load of 1124 lbs.
Don't know if I will hang from B.H. or Bucket. I like bucket idea so that I can drill&move without any difficulty. I already have 3rd function for rock grapple.
Plan on only using up to 8" auger If this motor is capable. If it will work on my BX 25 that would be great!

Do you have 19 GPM to run that motor at 380.

This is your hyd. BX25

Hydraulics:
Type: open center
Total flow: 6.3 gpm [23.8 lpm]


It will run it at a low rpm, about 131, at 4,578 in lbs

What would be the optimum rpm range? I am in mostly clay.

That is pretty low torque for an auger. I don't think it will work without some gear reduction.I have the lightest duty belltec hydraulic post hole digger and it has 1400 lbs of torque. You want some where around 50-100 rpm.
