Want to build a Generator Noise Reduction Shed on the cheap. Any advice?

Might not totally apply here for a portable generator, but conveniently came across this the other day shopping for acoustic panels for my media room..might give some ideas:

I needed something to "sound" insulate a set of mufflers for my Generac and this stuff fit the bill. Bought one (12) pack of the 1" wool and used two layers, easy to cut with hand shears. Was advised

Actually that link is great, for ideas.
HD sells 2 Rockwool products:
3.5" thick x 15" wide x 47" long batts for $78.47 per case of 12 on a Compression pack,
and
3"x15.25"x47" for $79/case of 12

Acoustimac sells it 4"x24"x48" for $79.95 case of 3.
My math skills say HD wins out.
I'm planning on getting a Compression pack from HD and trimming to fit.

update - got the HD pack, now waiting on the builder (me) to get time. Life gets in the way.

We had a generator at our cabin in Alaska. I built a shed - to protect it from the weather. The shed was too small - the gen would overheat. I rebuilt the shed. Just a solid back and a roof. It substantially reduced the noise and protected the gen from the elements.

The inherent issue with an air cooled genny will always be adequate air flow which is a non issue with mine because it's water cooled. Mine is very quiet actually.
