Wallace Tractor Cookout Success or Not???

Well the rain held out for the duration of the cookout today, but the heat was a little to unbearable!!! All in all I think it was a great success, it was great to finally meet everyone from tractor by net. We will have to do this again next year & hope for a little cooler weather. Thanks to all who showed up, and remember if you need anything we are here for you at any time.

Personally I feel it was a success. I'm now waiting for next year.

You might as well make it an annual thing now.

It was a great day out, and I really enjoyed just being around the equipment in a relaxed way. Appreciated the experts you had on hand, enjoyed the food and meeting some other "enthusiasts." Don't know if it met your expectations from a commercial standpoint, but I guarantee you a great deal of goodwill was generated that I'm sure will serve you well.

I applaud your efforts and enthusisatically support the idea of you hosting similar events.

SUCCESS!! A good time was had by all, as far as I know. Except maybe a certain young lady that got dumped into the ice 'Bucket'. I am disappointed that a Front Quick Attach 3pt bracket will not fit in a VW Golf along with a CK30 canopy and 60" toothbar!! I guess I can't blame the Wallace Tractor folks for that though. Next year I'm bringing my truck!! I hope IT enjoys my QA bracket. When I was leaving.. there were folks who were making plans to return next year... with their Significant Others. So you HAVE to do it again next year... we have already made plans to attend.

Huge success! Was great to finally put faces to the names. With what time Rick and Amy had to put this together, they did a great job. Next year, with a little more time to plan, there may not be enough parking. I got a free hat, free t-shirt, free can cooler, and a free lunch. Even more important, had good company and good conversation. If that ain't a success, I don't know what is.

BIG THANKS to Rick and Amy and the entire Wallace Tractor Staff for putting this together. I can't say how much I envy any one who is close enough to just drop in on these guys/gals even when they don't need parts/service. Great bunch of people. Thanks to the two guys (can't recall names, sorry) that loaded the trailer for me. It wasn't the coolest day to be out doing that. Maybe we all should have joined Rick's daughter in the ice bucket! As for Andy at Wayne County Hose, huge respect for showing us your trade. There is huge satisfaction after doing something for oneself. THAT SAID, you will be getting all my hydraulic projects. There is nothing better than watching someone WHO KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING work. Rick has far to many toys on his lot. After meeting him face to face I now see why he sells so much stuff. Rick is not you average business not owner. He is kid who happens to own a tractor dealership.

I enjoyed meeting you all....you know.....putting faces to acronyms.... Quite an interesting bunch. Rick and Amy - you two are just fantastic....I can see know why Amy is always saying she has her hands full though!

Standing-O for Andy!! What a great tutorial on hydraulics - he was a tremendous asset to the event. The PA State inspectors were great too. For next year's annual gala, perhaps you could provide instruction on proper maintenance - like for fluids, or basic mechanical adjustments (tweaks), and backyard valve lashing or such. I've heard of and seen a lot of poor choices of seasonal fluids, for instance.

Most of all, I enjoyed meeting my tractor. The cup holder fit perfectly! I definately made the right choice of the 45S over the 45SE. In person, it is a bigger and beefier-looking machine. It says "beat me"....no really - I heard it!It will surely suit my needs....and most of my wants. So you're not confused, the cupholder is a need. The "beat me" thing...well....AHEM!!...

Anyway, even though my gut already indicated the type of good folks the Wallaces and crew are, and how they conduct their business, I gained an additional level of comfort in buying a machine so far away from my fifedom. The machines are all the same, the prices are (usually) competetive, but the service can be all over the place. It is a given that Rick will hop in the helicopter right away to fix my inevitable flat tire..... Wait!! Don't HOP into the.....oh.....no....

I trust everyone had a safe and relaxing drive home! Thanks to all of you for all the help, and I'm looking forward to next year!

First, thank you Amy and Rick for your hospitality, a lot of work went into yesterday and it showed. Great food, drinks, seating, fans, shade and hospitality.

Second, thank you to the entire Wallace Tractor Team. Everyone from Deseray (hope I spelled close to correct) who did and expert job managing the on-boarding process to the guys who skillfully prepared the food, to the guys who helped to load my truck with my purchases, demonstrated professionalism and courtesy.

Third, thank you to WCH, very thoughtful of you to share your hard earned expertise with us. I could not imagine a good reason to bring hydraulic work to anyone other than yourself. The rest of us are clearly amateurs.

Fourth, thank you to the sales reps, Kawasaki, MAC, and others who took time out of their weekend to spend with us and share valuable information about their products.

Fifth, thank you to the PA. State police, who braved warm temperatures in full uniform, and provided valuable trailering and truck registration information, handing out useful literature.

Final observation and comments:

The Wallace tractor team is made up of talented, conscientious professionals who "get it" when it comes to customer satisfaction. I enjoyed, yes enjoyed, spending my time AND money with the Wallace Team.

I anxiously await next year and will save my pennies between now and then as was the case this year, I have no plans of leaving empty handed.

I enjoyed meeting EACH TBYN member, as well as Rick's other customers, including the lawn mower tractor pull guys who kindly brought their tractors to the cookout for us to look at, they answered every question asked. My brother, who is a lawn tractor guy, particularly enjoyed discussing the technology with the pull team.

I look forward to seeing my new TBN friends again next year and hope to have long lasting relationships with each.

The boss and mini-boss will be coming next year as we'll make a weekend vacation out of the trip.

I've been following the other thread with envy at being so far away. Now that you guys have gone and had your cookout and seeing the pictures, I'm flat out jealous.

As far as I know, none of the local dealers in my area have done anything like this. It seems like a very common sense way to market your products and get your customers behind you. Have them over for a day of showing off what you sell and how to take care of it. From the pictures, it looked like you were even getting a class on cylinder rebuilds!!!!!!!!!!

Wish I was there.
