I could have sworn I had seen someone put two (or I think is was 3) units side by side and then mounted to front loader. I can not seem to find it, or maybe I am just crazy. Although Florida did recently get snow, it was more that I had mentioned it to a northern friend, and then couldn't find it. thanks, and I hope everyone is doing well.

Single stage snow blowers were the snow throwers mounted on most all
lawn and garden equipment PRIOR to the use of vertical crank engines.

The two stage units sold today for lawn tractors based on my past experience
are extremely expensive to own and operate.

The 44 inch 2 stage snow blower I bought for my John Deere LA115 was
a huge very expensive disappointment.

I used to spend a great deal of money on the Metric V belts $300.00 "that had to be used"
on this snow blower.

The plastic chute and spout wore through quickly and was another $135.00.

It took three hours just to replace the driven belt on this 44 inch snowblower.

When I was mule shopping I wanted a lawn tractor with a bolted wheel and hub and
even though the largest Simplicity had them what stopped me from buying it was
the Simplicity single stage snow blowers and their poor construction.

My Toro Single stage snow blowers have been much more reliable and they are real
work horses.

The single stage snow blowers that were used on the lawn and garden tractors from the
late 1960's until the early 1990's were heavy well built attachments that were belt driven
and easy to maintain using the simple V belt tension adjustments with V belt pulleys and
adjustment methods that allowed the V belts to last more than one season by increasing
the tension on the driven belt to maintain contact with the V belt pulleys or the right angle
bevel gear box pulley on the OEM International Harvester Company Inc. single stage snow
throwers.

It is too bad that they eliminated them and replaced them with the 2 stage snow blowers.

I wish that mk martin had not changed the size of the snow blower rotors to a larger snow
thrower rotor and auger flighting as this modification requires much more torque and
horsepower to do the same amount of work in my opinion with the same width snow thrower.

if you are comfortable in a heated cab and enjoying yourself, what's the hurry, unless you are in a hurry...

Those units aren't designed to move at anything more than a slow walk
The original Single Stage Snow Throwers had fewer parts and had a simpler
belt drive to roller chain final drive system that spun the snow thrower rotor
at 600 Plus Revolutions Per Minute.
