W WA -- Did anyone attend...

the tractor pull in Lynden this w/e (May6)? If so I have some pics of the event if you'd like to look at them. I stayed for all if it exc the PU pulls (only about 1/4 of that). PM me and I'll send you a zip of the pics we got. This event wasn't as big as the Aug pull but it was good nonetheless! There were some real nice older machines there, a few Id never seen before and some really hot ones too.

I thought (very briefly) about posting them but have over 100 and they all needed to be resized to meet the postnig guidleines. I jsut wasnt much up for all that messing around. Im still working on smudging the faces. After that Ill zip them up. OK, Ill post a couple (my choice /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif) tonight.

BTW highbeam you missed a really good meet...lawn tractors, ag tractors and 2/4wd PU pulls. What could be better???

I couldnt wait...so here are a couple or three. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif BTW my wife took these and the FS originals looks loads better than what Im posting here.

This guy was having fuel delivery problems. If you look closely youll see he'd done some work to the fuel system. In any event the tractor wasnt running properly. He did wind up making a pretty good run after the the engine cleared.

That looks like fun stuff. The smell of unburnt fuel, the sound of that diesel chugging and coughing from the abuse. It's always fun when other people pound their stuff.

/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif The only casualty of the day (that I saw) was a 4wd PU that lost a U joint (in the driveline to the rear). He was bouncing up the lane when it let go. Ouch! Oh, one of the old Olivers was showing signs of over heating...as he proceeded up the lane the steam from his radiator increased. In the end it looked more like a steam tractor than diesel. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif He ended his run before anything let go.

A Deere and Moline

A propane powered Moline. The end of the tank is visible in front of the operator station -- it came from the factory this way. I think the front wheels are a mod done by the current owner.
