What is the function of the regulator (TE250.48u.2) on the Foton TE354? Has five wire connector - to Black, Red, Blue, Yellow and White - closed metal case. (I'm familiar with the 3-lead regulators from old autos and tractors which are easy to troubleshoot and diagnose, but nothing like this one.)
How can it influence running operation, and if defective, can it cause stall-outs? Had problem with water in diesel fuel, drained tank and fuel lines, replaced fuel filter, treated several times and the tractor would work fine for up to 20 or 30 minutes, but eventually choke out when under bushhog mowing load. Instruments in panel jump wildly when operating. Checked generator and it does not appear to be charging battery.
Any advice would be appreciated greatly.
