Oil & Fuel Viscosity

Is that just so you can change viscosity of oil for the upcoming season? Or, for some other reason? Same time, money, and help environment by using 5w-40 for year around protection, and just change once a year. Unless, you are racking up over 200 hours a year. Philip.

200 hours a year or more, so it gets changed twice a year.

Washing, greasing, checking the wheel torque, oil change, fuel filter (Autumn), checking glycol strength( (Autumn), check clutch free, thorough looking over is all a part of spring/autumn service.

Will have to change trans fluid/filter, glycol, front diff fluid by fall, as well as some paint touch ups too.

RFM needs a paint job too.

For the price of it, and the use, gets well taken care of.

Totally agree!! Ran 15W40 semi syn last summer, will probsbly run it agsin this summet. Between mowing and runnig the log splitter, does not spend too much time at idle.

Or would 5W40 fit the bill better!

If you do any winter/cold starts the lighter the oil the better. One cold start will put more wear on an engine than a lifetime of light oil.
