We have a dog run in our unfinished basement. It has windows and is very light, just not framed/walled. When we moved 1 1/2 hours from our jobs we discovered that our two rescue dogs could escape the house,doing whatever damage was needed. Thus, the dog run. It's 20' x 10'. They have been on concrete, and occasionally they have accidents since we are away so long.
We want to put down a piece of nice heavy vinyl flooring to help with the cleaning. My first thought was to frame the walls to protect the edges of the flooring from being torn up by the dogs (and it will be!!! any edge they can get to) My brother suggested a strip of metal and Hilti-ing the flooring to the concrete to save putting u[p all that wood. This is along the foundation wall of the house, the dog run has wire fencing only at the front, the other three walls are basement walls. Scare me to Hilti into the foundation.
