Just got back from the auction, what a sight! These cars have been setting for years, he took the used traded in vehicals to a feild near his home. Trees had grown up around them, thet had to be cut and drug out to a clearing.
Most of he cars and trucks were from early 50s to early 70s. Easy to steal parts were missing, gas caps lights and radiators were gone.
There were many new cars, pickups and trucks, plastic on seats, less than 10 miles on the odometer. The paint was faded bad and some rust on the surface.
The prices were crazy, about double, what you would pay for a running vehical in like condition but with more miles.
On day one a Chevy Cameo pickup went for 140k.New truck and was stored inside, the roof fell in on it from a snow storm, the roof was dented and the windsheild cracked.
There was 1 tractor for sale, an Oliver 70, went for $600, missing grill and side panels.
Unfortunately I did not find a good deal, but it was a fun experiance, my wife and daughter had a good time also. There were many people there from all over the world, several from Australia, and even Japan! I seen a 57 Chevy bought by an Australian woman.
Many cars were bought by a guy from Washington, he is going to have a large shipping bill. I will post some pics from my phone.
