Ok ok, it's official, I'm an idiot. Just went home at lunch and had another look at the hood, it IS steel. Being that's it's winter and so cold outside I haven't had a chance to get up close and personal with my tractor . The dealer told me it was plastic and I guess I never bothered to look real close. LOVE my tractor, even more now!
