Hi Folks:
I have a chance to buy a 5 yr old Vicon 303 pendulum spreader for $600. Light previous use as a sidewalk sander. Cat 1 hitch, weighs 260 empty, will hold 600 lbs. Can be adjusted for an 8' wide discharge, just the width of my driveway. Solex says my Case has enough hp to handle it. Any comments /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif Too big? Just right? anyone else have anything like this? $ is right, $1,900 new. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I don`t think I`d fill it - 860 lbs ? sounds a bit heavy , not much steering weight on slippery drive. Price seems okay but is right if your happy - for limited personal use , wouldn`t be worth buying new would it ? I`d go for it but watch steering, do you have fel? front blower ? They would help front weight. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Joe, If you ever considered splitting an implement, this might be a good application. I would use it occasionally for grass seed, fertilizer and lime in the warm weather and would have no use for it in the winter. PM me if you're interested in talking about it.
