It takes a bit longer - at my age. But many years ago - somebody on TBN made a tow behind vibrating compactor. HD frame - eight large filled truck tires - gas engine driven vibrating mechanism of some kind.

It was pulled with his tractor. Connected to the tractor drawbar. Perhaps a search might dredge it up.
