I was thinking the same thing as I watched that clip on TV tonight. Someone should have talked to the store owner first. Too bad some folks are uneasy about speaking to people they do not know, especially from other ethnic backgrounds, different countries, different religions, etc...AlanB said:I guess I just wonder, if these people could write it up on Craig's list, the new's crews could go out there, etc. etc.
The owner looked in a fairly reasonable state of mind,
How come nobody went to the man and just said,
Hey Sir, That is disrespectful, and for that matter illegal. Would you mind if you and I took that down please? I will look up the proper ways of displaying the flags to represent your patriotism to both countries, but what you are doing is wrong.
Somehow it almost seems like a made for TV movie.

My grandmother told me how badly she was treated by people from other countries when she came to America. One particular ethnic group owned all the stores and had most of the jobs. If you didn't speak their language(not English, by the way), they wouldn't wait on you in the grocery store or let you apply for a job.
She was Hungarian, the group that controlled everything was Polish, the town was South Bend, Indiana, the factory was Studebaker wagon works, the year was 1902. Only the languages have changed. People in polarized groups still do not get along. That is sad.![]()
